Matelasse comes from the French word "matelasser," meaning to quilt or pad. It's a special weaving technique that creates a raised or quilted pattern to fabric, such as a simple and classic diamond, or a more complex floral or paisley. I just loved this classic beauty with its diamond jacquard weave, made from soft 295 thread count, 100% cotton. Pre-washed for extra softness. Bedspread length falls closest to the floor. Colors - white & natural. Made in Portugal. Care Instructions: Machine wash and dry.
